- Treasure Data Academy is really detailed.
- Journey orchestration is finally here but still in it's infancy, a bit behind the curve.

Consolidated Customer Data Control Program
- The adequate data connectors (above 170) makes the tool proficient.
- The speedy recording of events and other activities in a second makes Treasure Data suitable.
- Ability to process raw data, and offering a confined report in form of information.
- Treasure Data has problems with operations debugging, which requires extra focus.
- The customer reporting is quite challenging, and requires proper enhancement.
- Finally, Treasure Data has challenges with on-boarding.
Treasure Data will let you fully, and EASILY, understand your data.
- Treasure Data is very flexible for ingesting different data sets.
- The native integrations that they have built are among the majority of the systems that we have, therefore creating a data lake was relatively simple.
- The product team at Treasure Data was able to build a new connector, as a partner to us as a client, for managing our event attendees and revenue impact.
- One of the issues that we faced, when onboarding, was the lack of understanding around what we were trying to accomplish as a company, and not being made aware of some of the functionality in Treasure Data.
- The documentation doesn't always have all of the steps, from a layman's perspective, to be able to set up more intricate custom connections.
- We had an issue, specific to our needs, where the Doubleclick For Publishers (DFP) API connection wouldn't use a dynamic date range for data ingestion, therefore we have to change the date query each month, on the last day of the month, to pull in the latest digital advertiser information.
What it's not well suited for, however, is heavy charting and data visualization. We've had limitations using Treasure Reporting.
- ID Unification.
- Flexible integrations with all sorts of platforms.
- Ability to define custom programming for those special use cases.
- Constant product improvements and new features.
- Customer support that goes above and beyond.
- Ability to update segments or activations in bulk.
- For saved queries, ability to organize them better, in folders or categorizations.

Treasure Data: Creating a 360° view of the Consumer for Better Media and Sales Effectiveness

- Analysis and understanding of data and reporting.
- Safeguarding data privacy and improving activating into channels (Social, Media and Email).
- Improvements in the user interface.
- Simplification of segmentation for business (non-technical) users.
Very good product to work with
Even though it is not directly related to the Digital Media spent, being compliant against 1st party data usage keeps the company protected against law issues and bills that depending on the size of your business, can reach billions of dollars.

I like to use treasure data, it has more pros than cons.
- It helps a lot on data capture and availability.
- Helps on data visualization for all the marketers in the world.
- It is pretty fast working with big data.
- I think maybe the structure, like its not possible to create tables with specific fields.
Great CDP with phenomenal support
- Integration with platforms
- Customer support
- Easy to use UI
- Contract limits
- Lack of nuanced audience logic via UI
Save Yourself the Headache – Give Treasure Data a Shot
- Data storage
- Data processing flexibility
- Customer service
- The workflow interface is great, but more options to handle automatic retrying might be nice.
- Treasure Data has documentation on custom Presto and Hive functions they've implemented, though it's gotten harder to find over the years.
Most User-Friendly & Intuitive CDP I've worked with
- User Friendly UI
- Awesome Support Team
- Many "Plug & Play" Integrations Available
- Record count of automation in success/failure emails
- Time-based attributes (i.e. Today, Today +, Today -)
Treasure Data helps you grow your service.
- CDP provides a unified view of data from all touchpoints in the customer journey until a single customer uses the service. This feature is very helpful in making service decisions and direction.
- It provides a variety of extensions to bring your data together in one place and helps you do this easily.
- Kits provided by Treasure Box provide basic but helpful methods for further development of services.
- Since Treasure Data is used throughout the company, a dictionary was needed to know for what purpose it was created in order to manage the details created such as database, table, workflow, and master segment.
- For this, I personally created and used it manually in Excel. I would like to have a dashboard that is automatically extracted or accessible only with admin privileges to manage it separately.
- If there is a page where you can check the ERD, or if there is a function to create a relationship between tables by linking the ERD with the table link of Treasure Data, it is more efficient from an Ed Hook perspective if non-developers can check the relationship of the entire table.
- The official document is good, but if there is a document translated into Korean, it will be easier to access Treasure Data for those who are new to it. Because of the entry barrier of English, it seems that it is difficult for some employees to learn, so I translated the document into Korean and spread it.
What you need to know about Treasure Data!
- Allows for marketers to segment audiences
- Large variety of APIs for connecting to other mar-tech
- Create one centralized view of the customer
- The initial setup for our system was done quickly and not as organized as possible
Treasure Data is not well suited for smaller organizations that are not doing automated marketing at scale.

고객 단일보기를 구축하면 대시 보드를 시각적으로 장식하기가 어렵습니다.

- Insufficient dashboard functionality.
- I wish I could visualize or process data using python libraries within Treasure Data.
Treasure Data| Data is what you need!!
It is really helpful in providing insights about customer journey basis which improvements have been done. We are also able to do smart targeting of audience for relevant Campaigns. Suppression of audience from campaigns when required is also achieved using TD.
- Great in client servicing & project management.
- Ample knowledge about technology & platforms.
- Help in scenarios to resolve existing business problem.
- On tool front, Reporting dashboards in TD using can be seen as an area for improvement.
2. Targeting of audience for Marketing campaigns.
Magic Unification with Plug & Play features
- Pre-Built Treasure Boxes for running simple ML use cases.
- Query Engine.
- Audience Profiling.
- Tag Management Tool (likes of GTM or Adobe Launch) for Web Analytics Tagging.
- A/B Testing Tool or extension.
- ETL and Connectors.
Flexible big data platform for many business cases
- Flexibility for development
- Good technical support
- Good infrastructure
- Audience Studio needs improvement and flexibility
- Reporting platform could improve for end users
Good tool, great potential
- Workflow editor - especially split function
- Out of the box connectors
- Audience studio - easy of use for non technical people
- Nice UI
- Integration with advanced features - python, spark
- Documentation accessibility and documentation quality
- Testing of new features rollout
- Develops integration
- Enable a setup for multi location and larger developer team
Less appropriate:
For technical advanced features, another is required. Advanced processing like heavy algorithm for deduplication or fraud detection.
Good platform to analyze data
- Simple to set up and to use
- Support is fully available
- Cloud technology --> almost nothing is on prem
- Documentation is not always fully update --> better off reaching to support for some topics that are not covered
- Small bugs on the graphical user interface
- If 2 people are editing on the same project simultaneously, the latter that saves the workflow overwrites the changes of the former one
May not be the right tool to run simple python code --> not as easy as SQL code (Presto or Hive).
A company that will do whatever you ask
- Amazing customer support at all hours
- The willingness to develop customer solutions
- Multi-touch attribution
- We'd like more clarity on what a CDP (any CDP) can or cannot do.
- We'd love built-in data visualization tools.
If you're not already an enterprise company, like us who are emerging as an enterprise company, it can be confusing what TD and other CDPs can and cannot do. When we started, Treasure Data didn't have the data visualization services it has now. Further, Treasure Data can offer plenty of real-time data for website personalization, however, we didn't have a website CMS that could accept that information. We're still working on that.
- Knowledgeable team
- Helpful in setting up platform
- Insightful tools, platform, and people
- Great at strategic planning in our use cases
- Training has been great. We've had many training sessions across the org that were held by the ATD team.
- Hard to use if you're not heavily involved in data and analytics. We are hoping for an easier way for the marketing teams to utilize.
- Dashboards aren't super intuitive, but just require some additional walk-throughs.
- Need more resources
- We've run into some memory issues on the platform, but the ATD team is making improvements to fix these.
